Overview: Hemos Bioscience has officially joined Phase I of the Chongqing Biomanufacturing Pilot Platform as a first-core enterprise. Co-established by Bishan District and East China University of Science and Technology with a total investment of RMB 625 million, the platform features a 1L-to-30-ton fermentation system, filling the specialized pilot-scale gap in Southwest China. Leveraging its full-chain scale-up capabilities, Hemos will accelerate process finalization and scaled production of recombinant human keratin, bridging the lab-to-production pathway and supporting the development of Chongqing's 100-billion-yuan biopharmaceutical cluster.
Biomanufacturing is a national… The new growth pole prioritized for development during the 15th Five-Year Plan has been designated by the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee as a key strategic area, alongside quantum technology and brain–machine interfaces. Chongqing Municipality has incorporated it into its “6+3” high-growth future industries framework and the “33618” modern manufacturing cluster system, making every effort to build a biopharmaceutical industry cluster with an output value exceeding 100 billion yuan.

Integrating the technology of the National Key Laboratory of Bioreactor Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology with Danaher. DBS The lean management system delivers standardized production plans and a full‑process quality control framework, providing mature process packages that can be directly replicated.
This platform fills the gap in specialized biomanufacturing pilot‑scale infrastructure in Southwest China, fundamentally addressing the bottleneck that has long hindered the translation of laboratory‑level research into industrial-scale production.
